Kokanee Power has a commitment to partner with groups that are serving the special needs of children's groups through fishing. The following are some groups we are proud to contribute volunteers and funding to help make them a success.

Fresno Scottish Rite Fishing Derby - Kokanee Power has provided continued volunteer help and funding from 2005 and 2009 to promote the local Fresno fishing derby put on by the Fresno Scotish Rite. This effort helps kids in the Scotish Rite Children's Learning Disorders Center. Each year donations of up to $2,000 have been made towards the derby. Check out the Fall 2006 Kokanee Kronicle for a general report on that years event or the message forums for subsequent yearly event information.
Merced Hooked on Fishing Day - Kokanee Power has annually provided volunteers and donates funds to purchase trout for this county sponsored event for individuals with special needs. A past sample report report on the event is available in the Fall 2006 Kokanee Kronicle from Steven Padilla who attended the event along with other Kokanee Power volunteers.
Lodi Sportsman Club (Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs) - Since 2007 Kokanee Power has been donating towards this event which promotes fishing with this youth oriented event at Lodi Lake.
West Sacramento Free Kids Fishing Day - Since 2007 Kokanee Power has been contributing to this event where kids get a free lunch and are provided fishing equipment. We are proud to help the City of West Sacramento and Rotary club fur this fun day of fishing in an urban setting.

Many of the Kokanee Power projects are documented in our Photo Galleries, Message Forums or Facebook where you can see and read first hand reports of many of these events.
