2014 Activity Log

Kokanee Power and its members are involved with many projects throughout the year beyond the eight derbies in California. Here's a quick synopsis of some of the 2014 activities that have been featured previously on the Kokanee Power What's Happening section, Home Page, Newletters or Facebook. Many of our projects are documented in our Photo Galleries or Message Forums where you can see and read first hand reports of many of these events.

•	Kokanee Kronicles -  8 Issues of the Kokanee Chronicles were published to keep anyone informed about our activities.  You can read these in our articles section of the web site.
•	Kokanee Derbies -  7 Fishing Derbies were held in 2014.  Proceeds from these derbies go right back into the fishery.  We appreciate your participation.
•	Egg Take Results - The first egg take on the Little Truckee yielded 859,100 Kokanee eggs which is over half the goal according to Kyle Murphy from the CA DFW
•	Kokanee Release - The last of the 2014 Kokanee were deployed from the San Joaquin Hatchery with help from the Kokanee Power volunteers assisting the DFW staff. Check out the photos in the photo gallery.
•	Sporting Clay Event- KP Hosts a sporting clay event to bring our members out to show their shooting skills.
•	Kokanee Power at Bass Pro Shops - KP was at Bass Pro Shops in March to help with the kids fishing ponds to promote fishing.
•	New Melones gets a new trout pen - Trout were planted in a new trout pen at New Melones. Check out the Facebook photos.
