No Pro Division at this Derby.

The Shaver Derby ended with unusual lake conditions with it being nearly full. The resulting cooler lake water had Kokanee being caught generally from 30 to 120 feet and even some were seen on the surface. There were two year classes of maturing fish, the monster 17-20 inches (not as many) and the 13-16 inch class. Those that did well found them huddled on the bottom but not all in one place per the usual derby conditions. This made for a new derby dynamic at Shaver where boats were more spread out across the lake. Hopefully more good water years will keep this fishery at its prime.
