We had a beautiful lake. We had beautiful scenery. We had gorgeous weather. We had one tough bite!! Forty-seven teams converged on Shaver Lake to challenge the tough bite which had plagued the lake for the few days preceding the derby. Most teams found limits to near limits of kokanee averaging 15 1/2 inches. The hot spot proved to be the corner of the dam adjacent to the cabins. Those who didn't mind the heat in the kitchen found winning fish. Speaking of winners, Perry Coy filled our stomachs with great BBQ and fixins once again. Thanks Perry for another great season of BBQ and good times!! And many thanks to our anglers who participated at this great high mountain event.
