Lake Almanor Trout and Pen Project Update

The Lake Almanor Pens were stocked with 50,000 Eagle Lake Rainbows on October 20th. They are fed and raised by a wonderful group of volunteers from the Almanor Fishing Association throughout the winter and released in the Spring when they are 12 to 14 inches.

Lake Almanor has been a busy place the last several years as Kokanee Power has been deeply involved in the ongoing Trout Pen program in cooperation with the Almanor Fishing Association since 2007. This ongoing project was recently documented in the Almanor Fishing Newsletter on page 4 by Nelsen Money.
